There is something about the word “intention.” A word that has made strange appearances in my life in the last couple months. Through people I follow on Instagram and subconscious thoughts.
Maybe it is unintentional. No pun intended. Maybe it is intentional. Maybe it is my sub-conscious self telling me: “you know you haven’t been taking advantage of every opportunity as well as you could have. Maybe, you haven’t made the best decisions. You are not living up to your potential.”
Maybe my conscious self is finally starting to be okay with that fact that self perfection does not exist. Saint Augustine once said “this is the very perfection of a man, to find out his own imperfection.”

1. Call Your Mom.
My grandmother passed away last year. You only get so much time. Now that I live 800 miles away, it’s even less. Take the time, you’ll appreciate it later. Go on some more hiking trips. Ask her some stories about her life. Ask her for advice.
2. Don’t Wait For Others.
Realize that the people who want to be in your life, will be. You can’t hold back on doing things professionally and personally because you are tethered to someone else. If they want to be in your life, they will be. They want you to do those professional and personal things you’ve wanted to do. You have to accept that. If they don’t approve, their loss.
3. A Healthier Life.
Eat more fruits and veggies. Portion it out so it’s easy to grab. Pencil in some time to go on trail runs at Percy or Radnor. You’ll appreciate it when you gotta go to all those weddings!
Do all those things on your travel wish list. Do them twice. Do them three times. Go to Arizona. Go to Wisconsin. Rent a car and drive down the PCH with Lucy. Do that summer tour with Caitlyn, even if you just tag along.
